This session will focus on offering an overview of the MEEP European project. MEEP is building a large-scale FPGA platform to perform pre-silicon hardware validation and a software development vehicle. It is using a RISC-V self-hosted accelerator called the Accelerated Memory and Compute Engine (ACME) to demonstrate the platform. In the first part of the talk, the speakers will offer a general introduction to the project, the architecture, its main goals and most important outcomes. The second part of the session will present a proposed extension to the OpenMP programming model allowing it to easily work on multiple devices attached to the same node.
This Thematic Session will be organized in 2 parts:
- An introduction to MEEP
- Multi-devices, an OpenMP extension
