TÜBİTAK BİLGEM launched a press release explaining how MEEP will be a new emulation platform that will explore hardware/software co-designs for Exascale Supercomputers based on European IP at Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC).
The article explores the aim of the project as a Research and Innovation Action (RIA) and as part of the European High-Performance Computing Joint Initiative (EuroHPC JU) to create European chips from the development of resulting technology tracking projects. Moreover, it explains how the project targets to create competitive European technology integrated into future exascale supercomputers. In particular, the target is to develop an exploratory supercomputing infrastructure for the development, integration, testing, and co-design of a wide variety of European technologies that could form part of the future European exascale systems based on intellectual property (IP) developed by Europe.
